The Burton Heritage Society hosts the fifteenth annual Texas Ranger Day in historic Burton, Texas at the Burton Railroad Depot, 507 N Railroad Street, on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from noon to 4pm.  Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by  the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations including blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, kids activities including the Lil Miss & Mr Ranger contest, mule driven buggy rides, and tours of the historic Railroad Depot, as well as the Burton Farmers Cotton Warehouse. New this year, enjoy live music from the 1800s and family fun with Celtaire String Band. As always DJ Kountry Chick will be playing music and keeping it lively! Proceeds will benefit projects of the Burton Heritage Society.
