The Burton Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information to help keep visitors and residents in the know as our community joins with the rest of the state, nation and world to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This page will be updated as new information becomes available.

We encourage travelers to follow the travel guidance offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities.

  • Burton Bridge MinistryThe Friday Senior Fellowship and Meal is cancelled this week, March 20, for dine-in but deliveries to the homebound will be made as usual.  979-289-2223

  • Starting next Friday, March 27, Burton Bridge will offer our dine-in Seniors the option to drive-thru to get their hot lunch. Seniors who want a meal must reserve a meal. Here are the 4 simple steps:

    1. Call the Bridge Ministry at 979-337-3370, no later than Tuesday to reserve a meal. Only Seniors who have reserved a meal will be served.
    2. Come Friday between noon and 12:30 p.m.. Do not come earlier than noon. We prepare the homebound deliveries first so that our drivers can leave by 11:45 a.m. Do not worry, if you reserved a meal, then it will be there for you.
    3. Follow the signs for the drive thru. Do not get out of your car. You can have a friend or family member pick up your meal.
    4. A volunteer will check your name, place the hot meal in your car and collect the $4 charge.

  • Punky's Kitchen at the Burton Roadhouse-  It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that Punky's will no longer be able to provide take out service. Keeping doors open even for take out is expensive. On the bright side, it gave us the opportunity to finally get our pizza game going!! We look forward to reopening when all this is over with a new menu which will include some great Pizza! Please stay safe and keep everyone affected by this in your thoughts and prayers.
